Our Journey

Since 1979, Boardwalk Optical has been a trusted provider of eyewear and vision care in Cambridge. Founded by Peter and Sherry, the boutique quickly became known for high-quality eyeglasses, expert service, and a personal touch. Over the years, the practice expanded its reach across the Tri-City area, offering a curated selection of designer frames, prescription lenses, sunglasses, and contact lenses.

In 2024, Peter and Sherry passed the torch to Dr. Sarah Fong, an experienced optometrist with a passion for clinical excellence and community care. Alongside Optician Kevin O’Hare, Dr. Fong continues the Boardwalk tradition—delivering personalized, precise vision care with an expanded focus on full-scope eye health services.

Meet Dr. Sarah Fong

Dr. Sarah Fong is an optometrist with over 13 years of experience, specializing in ocular disease, pediatric care, and myopia control. Her calm, friendly approach helps patients of all ages feel at ease, whether for routine exams or specialized treatment.

She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry. With experience in both Canada and the U.S., and fluency in multiple languages, Dr. Fong offers inclusive, personalized care to the Cambridge community.

At Boardwalk Optical, she leads with compassion, clinical precision, and a strong focus on patient education and long-term vision health.
