Since opening its doors in 1979 by Peter and Sherry, Boardwalk Optical Boutique has been a cornerstone in the Cambridge area, known for delivering quality eyeglasses and exceptional customer service.
Over the years, we have expanded our reach to serve the broader Tri-City area, from Cambridge to Waterloo. Our boutique is renowned for its extensive collection of designer eyeglasses, prescription lenses, sunglasses, and contact lenses, catering to the vision needs of people of all ages.
In 2024, Peter and Sherry made the decision to retire, entrusting Dr. Sarah Fong with the responsibility of continuing Boardwalk’s legacy of exceptional eyecare services and products. Alongside Optician Brandon, Boardwalk Optical is proud to carry on our tradition of offering a unique selection of eyewear and outstanding customer service.
As the new owner and optometrist at Boardwalk Optical, Dr. Sarah Fong now provides full-time optometry care at our location, ensuring that our commitment to personalized care remains stronger than ever. Our team blends innovative treatments with the same exceptional service that has defined us for decades.

Dr. Fong’s deep knowledge of ocular disease and pediatric care, paired with Brandon’s precision in lens fitting and practice management, ensures that every patient receives personalized, top-quality service in a welcoming environment.
Meet Dr. Sarah Fong
Dr. Sarah Fong, brings over 13 years of experience in optometry, with a unique ability to connect with patients of all ages.
Her warm and friendly approach ensures that even the youngest patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Dr. Fong believes that a positive experience early on is crucial in fostering lifelong eye health habits.
Dr. Sarah Fong began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree from the University of Guelph, followed by a Doctorate of Optometry with Magna Cum Laude honors from the Illinois College of Optometry.
With over 13 years of experience in both the United States and Canada, she is deeply experienced in Ocular Disease and Management. Fluent in multiple languages, Dr. Fong is dedicated to providing personalized, advanced care at Boardwalk Optical Boutique, where she plans to introduce new technologies and services to enhance patient care.
